It’s been a while, but I’ve been busy with both conventions and a few private commissions, one of which I just received the go ahead to share with you all! This is an album cover for a musical artist I had the pleasure of meeting in a New Mexico show, he was kind enough to chat with us at the booth and picked up a print, mentioning that he had a need for a commission and would reach out at a later date. My favorite thing about this story is that he actually did reach out about a week later. I have had a lot of instances, and I believe most artists do, that a person says they will get back to you without a way to contact them and you’ll never hear from them again. Hence my joy for being able to work with this particular client.
The vision for the piece is a cyber punk version of the artist on the throne of his world. He said that the monster in the back was supposed to represent the doubts that plague him throughout the lyrics in the songs. This is also supposed to be a series of albums that help tell the story that reflect the songs in each album.
Get excited because this isn’t the last one in this series!
