Up, Up and Away!

A few months ago, I was invited back by one of my favourite clients, the RSPB, to create 2 new illustrations for their children’s magazine, the Wild Times. These illustrate the story of some baby swifts growing up and taking to the skies, whilst also teaching children some fun facts about these beautiful birds.

Did you know they can fly 110 km an hour and spend virtually all their lives in the sky?

These designs were created in a mixture of papercut collage with a little bit of fabric to give them a bit of a nice fuzzy feel.

Vicky is friendly and creative, and her style is bright, fun and very eye-catching. Working in stages from rough concept to finished art, she was open to feedback and willing to accommodate amends and a couple of extras along the way. It was an absolute pleasure working with her and hope I get the opportunity again in the near future.
