London’s Green Spaces Map

This is a personal project that I’ve been going back to now for a little while, but am delighted to have finished it! I wanted to create a colourful, engaging map illustration that celebrates all the wonderful outdoor spaces in London. It’s one of my favourite things about our capital city from parks with impressive views like Primrose Hill to great places to people watch (like the South Bank) or take in the history (St Dunstan’s) or even an outdoor concert or film (like Battersea Park). I like to mix up real buildings and map elements like rivers and roads with people enjoying the place they are in.

I created this map as a mixture of collaging textured papers on Photoshop and drawing directly on Photoshop.

Vicky is friendly and creative, and her style is bright, fun and very eye-catching. Working in stages from rough concept to finished art, she was open to feedback and willing to accommodate amends and a couple of extras along the way. It was an absolute pleasure working with her and hope I get the opportunity again in the near future.
