The Heroine – from a fanart to a personal piece
Posted 2 months ago and submitted by Adrián Diaz | Share link:

My last painting, The Heroine, was initially born as a Stranger Things fanart in my sketchbook. The internal fight of Max not only against the villain but against her own feelings and her darkest thoughts, that inspired me to do a fanart mixed with some Dungeons and Dragons references drawing her with the horns and tail of a tiefling.

When I jumped from the sketchbook to the final board to do it in oils she grew and changed, it became a reflection of how I feel when I play roleplaying games. And during the process I discovered she’s the strength I want to have in me to face the real demons in life. So as the title say, it started as a fanart and ended up being a personal piece.
